The way people discover content is changing. AI assistants and AI-powered search are reshaping how information is found online. The largest media companies have the scale and the teams to navigate it, but for the hundreds of thousands of independent bloggers, niche publications, and content sites, it is a different story.
Amazon Content Partners was built for them, and starting today, it is available to all eligible U.S.-based independent content creators. Since opening our preview in June, we have been working with an initial group of content creators, gathering feedback and refining the experience. Three of them shared what drew them to the program.

What to know about Amazon Content Partners

Amazon Content Partners is a voluntary program that brings together four things in one offering:
AI traffic management through AWS WAF, an AWS tool that gives content creators visibility into which AI crawlers are accessing their sites and the ability to block, rate-limit, allow, or monetize that traffic. Content creators have been asking for exactly this kind of visibility and control.
Matt Dartez runs monetization at Archidekt, a deck-building and data analytics site used by millions of Magic: The Gathering players made by Space Cow Media. Their site had firsthand experience with the problem: “We've had AI traffic running up requests and causing slowdowns on our servers. It also inflates our sessions and throws off our calculations. That kind of visibility and control is exactly what we want to test.”
For Matt’s team, Amazon Content Partners provided transparency, control and a boost in earnings. “Content Partners gave us a straightforward way to tap into Amazon's advertising demand, and being able to self-serve that activation has already unblocked a notable chunk of advertising demand for us.”
An additional +1% affiliate commission boost on eligible Amazon Associates sales.
Mike Marshall is a chief technology officer by day and a birding guide by passion. Four years ago, his wife suggested they figure out what birds were visiting their backyard, and a new hobby quickly became something much bigger. He created FeatherQuest to help others discover birds and turn birding into an adventure of their own, combining original photography and stories with beginner resources, field guides, and interactive birding quests. He also shares the cameras and field gear he uses through Amazon Associates.
What sold him was the shape of the relationship. “Creators put real work and experience into content people can trust. What excites me about this program is that Amazon is keeping creators in the equation, asking permission, partnering with us, and creating value on both sides. I’m happy for AI to learn from my work when there’s that relationship behind it. It creates a model where better AI and sustainable original content can grow together.”
Premium advertising access through Amazon Publisher Services, giving independent access to a premium advertising ecosystem that has historically been available only to larger publishers.
$100 a month in AWS hosting credits with CloudFront CDN included (Pro tier at $15 a month), reducing one of the real operational costs of running a content business.

How Amazon Content Partners works

To be eligible for these benefits, content creators choose to enroll their content with the program and allow Amazon continued access to their content. If it's not working for them, they can leave at any time.
We're doing this because independent content creators are central to a vibrant, diverse web, and we want to help them keep thriving as discovery shifts toward AI. Amazon has worked with hundreds of thousands of these creators for years, and Amazon Content Partners is a natural next step: bringing together tools, revenue opportunities, and infrastructure that help them grow as the way people find content changes.
Danielle Lamoureux spent years as a vice president at a multinational banking institution and a chief operating officer before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She now runs MillenniMama, a site that follows mothers from pre-pregnancy preparation through their child's first day of school. She's clear-eyed about what AI can and can't replace. “AI is fantastic at synthesizing information, but it has never rocked a baby to sleep. There are experiences that are so uniquely human, and content creators are critical to sharing them. If AI can present that experience to moms and help them, I'm embracing it.”
For Danielle, the appeal starts with flexibility. “It fits into my life. I do it on my own terms, I pick the benefit programs that work for my business, and I work on the schedule that works for me. I can't wait to get more visibility and control over how AI is interacting with the content I create.”
